I figure this is a good time to talk about legal, international travel. Amid the mass hoards of criminals flooding into the U.S with no documents, us westerners are somehow held to a different standard. Of course being put into a foreign countries prison for illegal entry is not on my list of things I want to experience.
The point of this article is once again another contingency plan. Being able to bug out should not just be a plan to go to your favorite camping spot. Getting a passport ahead of any kind of natural disaster or international conflict is just as important as stocking up on food. Think to yourself why many big name politicians mention having property in New Zealand, they have a bug out plan in the event of civil unrest.
Here is what you need to know, you will need a passport picture taken at your local post office. You will also need your birth certificate, and a state drivers license. The paperwork is redundant, they also want to know where you will be traveling. ( This part I don’t understand, what if you are traveling to several countries? ) after every agency gets a fee from you the total comes out to around $150- $180. After everything is complete it should take about three weeks to receive your passport.
