As always, I am looking for ways to communicate with friends and allies without using cellphones or internet. Have you ever considered Homing pigeons? During WW1 and WW2 homing pigeons were used because of their speed and high altitude flying. I can not help but be intrigued of the thought of trying this old way of sending messages. Pigeons are cheap/free, and readily available. They are also very cheap to feed and propagate very rabidly. Plus squab according to some of my older friends, tastes better than chicken!
Please comment bellow if you want to give this a try with me. I will be setting up a loft by the summer. It may be a good way for a few of the local QRM members to communicate if the grid goes down.
